With my eyes wide open, I walk into things all the time. I loved this post! During our breaks throughout the year, the stress melts away and we get a glimpse of who we really are underneath...the real us. How to hold on to that when we are thrown head-first back into the abyss of full-time teaching and full-time life. As I read through many teacher blogs, it frightens me to see the "super-woman", "conquer the world" perspective that so many teachers (and women) have for the new year. Balance is a much better way to look at the upcoming year. I am going to do my best....and I look forward to your future posts on the matter. Last year while doing my New Year's lessons and goal setting with my students, it dawned on me that we could try to have the "New Year's" fresh start, get over the past, look to the future, and reflection process at the beginning of each month if we could just hold on to that feeling. I love that you have shown that hear with your plans to reflect at the end of every month. Excited to follow your reflections!
